Dr. Michael McCabe is an anti-racist white-male and lifelong learner who credits his educational journey to three friends. Tom Krause taught him to dream and program design. Phill Klamm taught him believe in and love on all people. Sean Anderson taught him to trust youth and align all planned learning objectives around that simple concept.
Michael taught special education and At-risk youth for nine years. He also spent time teaching students receiving Gifted and Talented services. Michaels education journey includes a program re-design of CORE Charter School, founding Kornerstone School, and working as an Advisor at John Dewey Academy of Learning on the eastside of Green Bay. Michael has guided two different teams through the planning process and assisted with securing start-up grants from the State of Wisconsin for new charter schools.
Michael was fortunate to serve as principal at St. James School in Madison, Wisconsin and is currently the principal at Brookwood Middle School in Genoa City, Wisconsin. His faith and family are his top two priorities. Michael’s wife is a high school art teacher and they are raising their three daughters in Edgerton, Wisconsin.
